As part of the conference, warehouse and facility tours provide for a unique opportunity to connect conference discussions to real life operations. This year we have partnered with Zipline to give participants an opportunity to tour a distribution center and possibly see a drone take flight. Zipline International LLC (Zipline) is an automated logistics company that designs, manufactures, and operates drones as a service to make lifesaving deliveries to those in need, wherever they are.
More than two billion people lack adequate access to essential medical products, such as blood and vaccines, due to challenging terrain and gaps in infrastructure.
Zipline improves access to these supplies by flying over impassable mountains and washed-out roads, delivering directly to remote clinics. We centralize supply and provide on-demand deliveries, completely reducing waste and stock-outs.
Zipline provides a seamless delivery system at an affordable price, obsessing over every detail, so you can focus on patient health.
Registered Delegates receive a link to sign up via email . If you are interested in attending the tour please sign up immediately as tour and shuttle capacity will be limited.
If you are registered but have not received the link please contact us.
*Spots will be given on a first-come, first-serve basis
We are also offering a second tour option to DP World inland port but space is limited to 15 people. DP World's Kigali acts as a premier gateway to global trade. Being an advanced logistic hub, it handles all kinds of specialized cargo including health commodities. Participants will tour the port and learn about their operations and the significant role they play in delivery of Health and Humanitarian needs.
The Tour will be inclusive of a warehouse Walk through and tour in the bus of the port. DP world will share with participants information on their Operations in Rwanda, mission, goals etc.
The Health & Humanitarian Conference series is organized each year by the Center for Health & Humanitarian Systems (CHHS) at Georgia Tech in partnership with INSEAD, MIT, and Northeastern University, with generous support from corporate and other organizational sponsors.
